P.S. Nii palju vanahärrasid New Yorkeri kottidega muude pühade ajal ringi liikumas ei näe

Brands..

I just wondered around in some clothing sites - Bubbleroom, FCUK - and started to like S'NOB even more. I bought a pink short sleeve jacket this summer and a t-shirt by them and they really have great design. Great dresses can be found in Vila collections. Overall, Scandinavian and Danish cloth design is in focus currently. But it would also be nice to go to London and see what is going on there.. and to get my purple Sisley jacket back..

The winter is not making any favors to dresses, at least I am not able to fadge dresses with overcoats. It is time for jeans and jeggins then, which overall is a bit boring. P.S. Hard time for hair as well, they do not like being topped with hats.

Eurooplaste kommentaarid Wikileaksi dokumentide avaldamisele:
Suureneb läbipaistvus, kasulik demokraatiale, saame paremini aru ja teada, mis reaalselt diplomaatilistes suhetes toimub...

Ameeriklaste kommentaarid:
See on väga halb, teatud dokumendid ongi mõeldud olema salastatud, me ei soovi läbipaistvust...

A place called home

This is were I live currently. We sold the house in July, moved out in September, mother bought an apartment in August. She and my brother live there. It is almost finished, just the kitchen furniture is missing + living room furniture. But we hope, that everything will be finished for Christmas..

Currently we are looking for an apartment as well, but just to rent it. We are supposed to move out in the end of October, the dog will stay with the owner of course. Have been doing laundry and cleaning today, enjoying or getting used to being alone with the dog, as the other person living here left for a week. Mom and I are planning to go for a little sunbathing trip this week as well, will be back in the middle of October. Have to write my B thesis.. by 1st of November. Haven't started yet. And grandmother has a 75-years-anniversary in December!

I am into Väike Tom and X-Factor currently. Felt sorry for Gamu Nhengu, she was great and for Tom & Paije as well, but holding my thumbs for Storm, John, Matt and Rebecca (great-great-great!). Unfortunately public and my opinion are usually different especially as the most people British who vote.

Noore vanatädi märkmikus sorides...

Virisevad vanad naised on elu kõige tüütumad nähtused.

My cake!

Well, it is a very cute cake! What a nice surprise for my birthday (I received many other very special gifts as well, so I hope they will not be upset as I just happen to have a picture of the cake).

Thank you all so much and next year: lets hope for nice weather and will be great!

Feeling the pressure

I saw a doctor this week and she said: "And now, tell me the truth - who is Georgian in your family?"

Got back from Hiiumaa on a ferry "Muhumaa". Was sitting on the floor - they really have too little sitting space. I didn't mind sitting on the floor, but there can be a lot of people who probably wouldn't like it.

And I have an exam tomorrow in Public finance.
And from now on - three days at work. Fun-Fun.
And everything is still open .. what to do and where to be in summer..

Shopping

Kingad - 35 krooni (Uuskasutuskeskus)

Lisaks sain roosa jaki, püksid suveks ja pluusi.
Ning eile ostsin kuhja La Senza pesu.
Süümepiinad, aga tuli teha teatavaid kulutusi. Selleks kuuks on loodetavasti kulutused lõppenud. Ootame järgmist palgapäeva.
Kaks eksamit veel teha, 11 päeva tööl käia, Hiiumaad külastada, järgmine kuu Ralph Lauren Romance muretseda ja meigiasju. Ning siis peaks rahu majas olema. Suveks vähemalt. Tühjendan kappe ka veel ikka, viis kotti olen asju Humanasse viinud, järgmisena teatud asjad Uuskasutusse. Nädal tagasi saabusin Rootsist. Vennale vaja triiksärk muretseda. Suvi, tule juba. Ja ilusat emadepäeva järgset päeva.

Time to snore

Good morning and good evening (that depends on how long of a Saturday night you had),

I am weak so I decided not write my thesis this semester.
I started to work. The first week - 7 days in a row. Five of them 12 hours a day.
I am waiting for the volcano to stop. My flight is on Friday. I hope for the best.
And I have a person on Skype, snoring currently. He was angry with me because I didn't wish him happy birthday what overall was very silly of me, because I was thinking of his birthday the whole day and I found him another gift etc., but I didn't let the person himself know that I do care. But we will cope with it, hopefully. I sent him a surprise package by post on Thursday, but it is a bit tricky with the planes right now, so I have no idea where it is stuck right now, but it would be nice if he could get it soon. Typical - I keep forgetting about someone having a birthday, but when I don't forget, then I don't wish him happy birthday.
And I saw D. and J. this week, finally. Haven't seen them for almost a year (the fact that I was real ashamed of). It was so nice to see and talk to them, just amazing. No promises though when we will see the next time. It is not nice to disappoint people.
And I went shopping today - just a little and second hands. Spent a bit too much, but have to manage with it. Feels good to own some new things at least, but have to get rid of the old ones. Gonna start selling them cheap soon.

Good night and be happy!

Many people are extremely happy, but are absolutely worthless to society. ~Charles Gow

Friday, March 19

I love you, Karma

It is undiscrabable how I feel, but what I can say is that.. well, nothing to say, just amazing

O. is coming to the Baltic states, in the end of March! He bought the tickets few days ago, so it is amazing! It has been quite some time already, 4 weeks now..So I am pretty pleased about that... after that, in April no worries, I booked the tickets some time ago already in February.

Yesterday, I got an e-mail that we will receive extra money for Erasmus. Just on time, because I have to pay for one course by next Tuesday! Otherwise I would have never managed that without quitting everything else.. but now: I can still go to gym in May and April!!! And I can do other things that I would like to do - to go to see my father and brother, to be able to spend at least some money in Riga etc. Maybe I can even buy one piece of clothing from a second hand..!!

And today.. even more amazing.. I got a job!

Had a phone interview on Wednesday evening, I was shocked because I had to talk in Russian as well.. and today was the face-to-face interview (2 interviewers) .. Tough questions (at least for me) and I was nervous and all over the place.. but in the evening I got the answer.. I got a job!!! And I liked those people so I believe the whole team is going to be nice. Such a happy puppy right now.

What next? Internship for Mr. X and more eating control. But it is going well with the training, managing to do it 5 times a week, this is a third week already, so I don't see myself not doing that for the next few months as well.. And I should write my thesis before starting to work as well, would be really smart.

- fix my weight and getting fit /takes some months, but going well so far// start with spinning as well
- help with an internship
- fix the thesis
P.S. and I should visit some people.. will fix that as well
P.S. 2 I have stopped smoking and haven't had a drink for a long time as well.. so next time when I have one, I will probably get dizzy very easily

Going well...

Hope it is going well for you too! If anybody needs help with CV-s, then I can maybe give some tips..

Making soup...

Usually I am not allowed to cook, but as the Mother is ill, I can try for the first time.
I am celebrating with a cider, the first alcoholic drink for a month.
And I counter how many calories does one Talleggi "viiner" have and it is 52 kcal:)

The Dreams of a 23-years-old

I thought it might be an interesting thing to read about in 20 years, so I will write some of the things I would like to do in my life. Some of the things are very materialistic.

As always I am dreaming about traveling. Not just dreaming, but reading about things like Work&Travel (that is not going to be affordable right now) and thinking a bit about my next Erasmus, but honestly I have no idea yet what to do after graduation and whether I will really graduate in June. But lets come back to traveling... it would be so nice to go traveling in June after ending with the thesis. To go to East would be the most perfect and most realistic. But at some point it would be very nice to go to South-America for a month and also to go to North-America for at least a month, to take pictures in New York... and to Africa at some point, but I will wait with that for a little I think. And just to relax - to go to Philippines, Hawaii...

I consider traveling to be my short-term goal. And how to do that - figure out a way how to get money or to volunteer or through school, work abroad, cheap traveling, backpack... There are ways even without a lot of money, but the perfect thing would be to find a well-paid job, but with an opportunity to take a vacation. It is not a problem to work very tensely for the rest of the year if you can have a nice vacation traveling around in the world.

What I have also understood, is that my education, my major, is useless. You can argue that nothing is useless, but in a sense what kind of job I can get.. it is useless. And of course, nothing is useless if you are a specialist on your field, but on a undergraduate level right now.. I have to start learning law, soon. This year even and my goal - postgraduate of International Law by 2013, by the age of 27. But right now, I am opened to everything. By the end of this year we will know much more what will happen to me.

And at some point I would love to have a wine cellar and a library in my house:) I have had the plans of my house in the head for a long time, we will see. Someday. A long-term goal, certainly not within 5 years.

I want to learn how to cook, to get fit and obtain a certificate for teaching BodyPump, to travel, to have a nice home, to take photos, to draw and to be happy. In the summer to travel around, lay on the beach on an island. And at some point - to spend my Christmas in a cabin in the mountains, sitting next to a fireplace, drinking cocoa, decorating the Christmas tree and patting my dog. Overall - to be happy without making others unhappy and to be honest with myself and everybody else.  Haha - and to buy a lot of pretty underwear, shoes, dresses - but not too much - it would be nice to stay in touch with the reality.

Right now - moving out, traveling, and figuring out what to do within my next year (and to get fit!).

1. Traveling - East, North-America (The States), Philippines, Hawaii, South-America, Africa, Australia.
2. Education - Postgraduate degree. International Law.
3. Home, sweet home.

The problem right now is to come up with the plan how to achieve those things:)

Updeit!

Today came the first person to see the house. The good thing about this is that we have to keep the house clean now all the time. I really do hope for the best, as there is an average one year waiting time for the buyer in the market right now for a house with this profile. But I decided to have an open house on Saturday and hopefully will get some new ideas as well how to get the house sold as quickly.

Well, I have my routine on a schedule, but I haven't been good enough yet to stick to it - but! I will do my best soon. Step by step, trying to get better day by day. One thing I have learnt in life that you cannot change everything overnight. So I will take my time and try to do the best - time to stop the depression starting and pull myself together.

And the main thing - I have been having dreams - what is probably a daily thing, but I see my dreams, wake up for a little, but then fall asleep again and when I woke up for the second time, I do not remember what I saw. But I do remember tonight. I was skydiving, with somebody, but with whom, I do not remember. I landed, but did not feel anything - no emotions about the jump... I landed and at some point joined the princess, we walked under a bridge and then met up with two of his (American) friends/relatives in a travel car, one was standing on one side of the car, other on the other. No recognition though on what were we talking about and then I woke up. The reason why it was weird is that the skydiving was included and the emotionless.

The job search is frustrating. The most frustrating aspect is the lack of money of course, but it would be nice to have an enjoyable job. But I am getting ambitious, I haven't felt that for some time. It must be whether a very interesting job or a good salary. I do not feel like taking a boring and low-paid job.

P.S. Found a new thing to watch (too lazy to read probably) - Hell's Kitchen

Tallinn!

What has happened? Almost nothing. Princess visited us in Tallinn last week, which was very nice from him. Secondly, I am still looking for a job. I found something I would really-really like, but yes, they did not like me that much:P And thirdly, I have to start with my thesis. At least I have the topic. And also we are trying to sell the house. I entered the add today. So if anybody is interested, let me know. Overall, the biggest problem is money right now. But I hope to get that solved. I have noticed some kind of ambition within me, so that is a progress. Also getting a bit paranoid from watching too much Sherlock Holmes.

Kaimar Lahe

I found a paper that was written, by my friends to me,  on the New Years Eve 2008/2009, and this is what was written:

- don't go too far away for too long
- do not make puppies or children
- do not work out too much
- do not go to Saaremaa
- drink a lot - 3.1 should be the number where to stop
- listen to at least half of the Armin Van Buren State of Trance 2009 shows
- learn anger management
- at least once a month, lets have chick nights and do each other nails etc.
- lets go for a trip and lets get wasted
- stop straightening your hair, because your curls are cute
- a benji jump!
- a parachute jump and a party afterwards
- show us some normal guy
- go camping with a tent
- go to Õllesummer
- talk more
- go to London to see Russel and Jimmy

Snow and more snow

This is the view from our second floor window. And then is even more snow, but as I can just take PhotoBooth pictures, I haven't been able to go for a photoshoot outside.

Yesterday was the first day when I left home to see my groundmother. The sidewalks itself are 2 and a half metre wide, but as there is a lot of snow, the path is about 50 cm wide and on one side there is a pile of snow, sometimes even 2 metres high. It is impossible to walk around with a child carrige or in a wheelchair.

People in here must be thinking I am crazy, as I walk around with a smile on my face. I am in a stage where I notice all the details and I am comparing everything with Lisbon.

And one good thing I noticed about Tallinn, is how the bus drivers drive - in Lisbon you always had to hold on tight, they were a sort of race car drivers. The bus drivers in here seem to be more relaxed in that sense, so thank you for that. But at the same time, the transportation tickets system is messed up. If you don't have an ID card, then I do not know how you can survive in here if you are in Tallinn for a long-term stay. Even if I am an Estonian citizen, but the ID card was stolen, it was rather complicated to find out what I have to do.

I had one bad experience today as well. I went to apply for new driver's license, as the old ones where stolen in Portugal. So she charged me with 25 EUR, even though if you have stolen drivers license, the price is 7 EUR. My fault was not knowing that at a time, as I found it out after I had already paid, but as much I have studied public administration, I also know that her job was to inform me. I told her, that the license was stolen, but she didn't say or asked about anything. But luckily I can still get my money back, even though it is going to be a waste of my and their time.

But yes, in the end when I was getting back home, I got the lion, so it seems to be a good year. Even though I have to find a job, graduate, my things were stolen on the 7th day of this year, I had a long journey home etc. At least it wont be a boring year as it is full of changes.

And even if I am going to have a bad year, I wish you all the best!

Welcome to Estonia

Good afternoon my darlings,

Something weird is going on, but it is probably because I have my first days in here. Everybody seem to be very polite, the most extreme incident was today on a bus. It is not even politeness. So this is what happened: I was on a bus, standing next to the door to get out in the next stop, and then a man, in 40s, says "girl" in Russian and gives me a stuffed lion. He had it in his plastic bag, it still had a sticker on from the store.. I was confuesed, but took it. Smiled, said thank you and went out. When I was out of the bus, waved, and called my mother (well, first I tried to call B., but she was busy) and told what had happened and how I should react - I was a bit suspicious as well, as this - at least for me - is not a regular thing, that happens every day. And now I have the lion on my bed. Thank you, stranger.

Arrived!

I have arrived in a country that has stopped being as cold as it was.  Thank you for that.

I was picked up by the brother-sister duo, then my mother had prepared food (soup, finally!), continued with unpacking, later joined by two other friends, showed Robert and Koobalt to O., drank a cider (with alcohol! no more non-alcoholic ciders they sell in IKEA) and fell asleep. Today is a lazy day - no school (that will start tomorrow), will go through my wardrobe, if I have time I will also go through some want ads.

The trip back to the country of pretty girls and vodka

On Saturday morning I woke up at 6 AM. I also asked the guy in the reception to give me a wake-up knock on the door, but amazingly when I heard the alarm for the first seconds, I was up. The flight was late about 45 minutes, because of the snow in London, but I had some mixups even before that. I wanted to take the first bus that was supposed to leave at 7:10, but I doesn't operate on Saturdays (I forgot that the start a week with a Sunday, so Saturday is a 7th day). After that I took a taxi as the check-in was supposed to start at 7:05 according to my booking, but when I was already in the airport, it appeared that the starting time was 8:05, so actually I could have used the 8 o'clock bus as well and sleep for an hour longer. But there was... My checked-in luggage weighed 22.8 kg, but they did not charge for extra (the flight was rather empty as well, I was sitting alone in my three-seats row). Lets hope they wont charge any extra in London as well. I bought some gifts, even though I was a bit worried, because according to Stansted airport, if you change flights, then you can carry sealed bag of goods purchased in the previous departure if this happens within 24 hours. But there is some sentences in EasyJet regulations that made me a bit worried. But as they are not clear, then it is going to be okay. Otherwise I am going to repack. I sat down in the waiting area at 14:24 and next flight is supposed to be 8 AM tomorrow morning. So I have approximately 15 hours for the second check-in to start. Lets hope there are not many passengers traveling. Other question to be was whether this airport is open 24/7, but I believe so as it not close to the city (27 miles). I saw some things that made me laugh as well. Firstly, on the wing of the plane, it is written: “Don't walk outside this area” (it is probably not a thing to laugh about, but it was weird to see that at the moment when we were taking off). And secondly – on my suitcase there is written: “Only carry baggage. Not children”. And British people are... well I don't know how to put that, but there are no such other nation in the world I believe. They are especially funny with their way of speaking and the manner of speaking, and there are also a lot of those people – no matter what the age – who like to go to a pub, watch a football match and flirt (this is was not my case, as I am cold to their “charm”), but yes – British people are very attached to their national feeling – it doesn't matter how much they travel around, they are still stuck to their own country. In hand luggage you are allowed to have just one bag – their new policy is to but a sticker on your hand luggage as well, what they did not do before. I had a small handbag (20x15x5 cm) and my laptop in a separate bag, but I was asked to make them into one. So I did. In a size you can have a 10 times larger bag that was my combined one, but it is not about size, it is about numbers. The same thing with checked in luggage – you can have up to 8 pieces of checked-in luggage, but overall they can all weigh together 20 kg, but you still have to pay extra if this weight is separated between more than one bag. And I should find myself a good big hand luggage bag, but unfortunately here are no Chinese stores:)

P.S. Why aren't airports covered with wireless network (free of charge)? In Faro, they charged 2 euros for 30 minutes... The reasonable price could maybe be 1 euro/hour, but we will see. And there is also a lack of plugs. So you have to be rather smart with using your battery and it is better to just read a book. This is all for now, tomorrow there will be more news.

I made it! It is 7:23 AM and I am waiting for boarding. I slept in the airport..mm for about 4 hours, woke up, ate my sandwiches I bought last night, and ready I was. They made me throw some things away as well, but some things I were able to put into the hand luggage – had 2 kg too much. And no problems with the liquids bought in Faro, they checked the time they were bought and it was good – so yes, for others to know as well – there is 24 hours rule – if you are transfered from another EU country and you have bought anything from there, you can take it into your hand luggage if it is both no more than 24 hours ago. And it was rather funny, the sleeping part in here... a lot of people, I was sitting in those separated chairs, so I was sleeping while sitting... but I think you could get a lot of nice pictures at night in the airport. Well goodbye, boarding is supposed to start in 15 minutes:P

Viimane päev Lissabonis

Seega homme on kiirem graafik.
Õues on päevasel ajal 12-14 kraadi ringis sooja, 30 kraadi külmemasse kliimasse tulla..saab huvitav olema.

Viimane eksam...

Tere!

Täna kirjutasin viimase eksami (loodetavasti), European Law.

Viimased kaks päeva on nad kaubanduskeskustes kolanud, ise tegin täna eksami.
